What's new |
Australia's new Child Support Scheme came into effect on 1 July 2008. Designed to be fairer for both parents, there are significant differences to the previous scheme.
Information sessions are being held in Shepparton, Vic and Redfern, NSW to talk about Child Support and services available to support separated Indigenous families.

CSA Inform |
A report about the 1 July changes to the Child Support Scheme. The report provides information about CSA customers’ child support assessments and Family Tax Benefit as a result of the changes.
More information about the changes to the Child Support Scheme is available in the CSA Scheme Reforms, Family Assistance Office and FaHCSIA websites.
A media release is available online.
For the 2007-08 financial year, all CSA parents (not just paying parents) must lodge a tax return unless your taxable income was less than $18,252 and you received an Australian Government pension, allowance or payment for the whole financial year.
